[SOLVED] Issues - Windows freeze and black screen before returning

I've just built an new system , components listed below.

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600X CPU with Wraith Spire Cooler
MOBO: ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F
RAM: Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 Vengeance LPX 16 GB
SSD: Samsung 1 TB 860 EVO
PSU: Corsair 550w - Temporary PSU

I'm getting freezes every few minutes on Windows 10, im unsure what is causing it, i ran 4 passes of memtest and it showed no errors on the ram.
This is the first time i've got a motherboard like this and i'm curious if it's attempting to overclock the system or something by itself.
I load into windows and it'll freeze every few minutes, then the display will go dark and return and i'm able to use it again. I've checked the cpu for bent pins and it all looks fine.

Any ideas what could be wrong? any help at all would be great.

Does it do the same thing if you go into the BIOS instead of Windows?

I'm actually a bit of an idiot after all... it turns out it was the GTX 660 that was causing a problem... luckily i had a 750 Ti in another system to test that and there hasn't been any freezing in over an hour.

Unusual that the GTX 660 caused the problem when it was working fine with the older components 2 days ago... might not be able to keep up anymore.

I wasted all of yesterday and half of today trying to get to the bottom of it.

You may have forgotten to set memory parameters in BIOS.
