Issues with gaming while Steam games are downloading

Whenever I download a game or updates for a game on Steam, it seems that Steam and uPlay throw hissy fits during the process. Running Batman Arkham Origins on Steam will result in sluggish fps performance and lags while in Rayman Legends and Far Cry 3 on uPlay, the game save files and/or levels will not load. However, I can run games on Origin just fine. So is this an Internet bandwidth bottleneck associated with Steam and uPlay? Or maybe because Origin just flat out pwns both Steam and uPlay?

Solution

I can relate, Steam Support are terrible at fast responses and you have to go in depth to get a simple answer. I can't say I agree with EA but I have had personal problems with them. But EA have solved a number of my problems.

Yeah I recommend you get In contact with both Steam and Ubisoft. Hopefully they can find some sort of resolve.

I believe this may just be a compatibility issue between Steam and Uplay maybe future updates could fix the problem, If you address your Issue to both support teams. They should hopefully take It Into account as a bug problem.

If you have any questions feel free to ask?

Uh, Steam support is non-existent. I could get 500 issues resolved by EA support in about 10% of the time it would take an average user to get one single ticket response from Valve support. Ubisoft, not sure. But I can try to contact Ubisoft and see if there's a bug on uPlay that needs to be patched.
