Question Issues with Microsoft LifeCam Cinema ?

I have a Microsoft LifeCam Cinema like this one and a couple of days ago the image was suddenly horizontally flipped (i.e. upside down). I also use the tool CamooZ, and at the same time, some of the webcam settings like brightness, exposure and contrast in CamooZ stopped having any effect. (Other settings in CamooZ like saturation or white balance still seem to work, though.)

Zoom does provide a feature to rotate the webcam image, but other apps like WhatsApp don't. And apart from this, of course I'd like to be able to adjust the image brightness etc. again.

Does anybody have any advice? I tried uninstalling the camera from the device manager and restarting, but that didn't solve the issue.
