Issues with my R9 390

I recently got a R9 390 and went to install it today.

I opened up the manual for the graphics card and it gave a list of power options, two of which were 1x6 pin or 1x8 pin. I do not have 2x8 pin connectors or a 6 and 8 pin connector which were the two most recommended power options, so I used a single 8 pin power connector.

I turned on my computer after installing the graphics card and the screen said "no signal". I looked through the side of my case and the gpu fans did not appear to be spinning either.

Any suggestions on what to do?

I previously had a gtx 750.
Power Supply: Solid Gear Neutron 650w
GPU: Sapphire Nitro r9 390
Motherboard: MSI 970A-G46

all power plugs need to be filled on the card

that power supply should have two 6+2 pin cables

use those

Your 390 is Just not getting enough power you have to plug both the 8 pin and the 6 pin power connectors to the GPU in order for it to work they are not options that R9 390 needs both to work and your power supply should have the right connectors (Connector, 2x 6+2pin PCI-Express Connectors) If not you'll simply need to buy either a 2x4-pin Molex to 8-pin PCI-E adapter:

Or a 2x15-pin SATA to 8-pin:

Are you absolutely sure you didn't get one with the card, though (the 2x4-pin Molex -> 1x8-pin PCI-E)?

Solution
Thanks for the quick responses. I'll probably stop by micro center tomorrow and pick up the 750w version of the psu, since it has more pci power connectors and I'll see if that will fix it.

get a GOOD 650w

like the xfx Pro, or the evga supernova GS.

tier 1 or 2 unit from this list, in 650w or better:
