Issues with new (used) AMD RX 570

Hello,

I recently decided to upgrade my PC (given to me by my brother), and I purchased dual AMD RX 570's.

This PC is older, but it previously had installed GTX 660Ti's.

I currently only have one 6+2 adapter to fit the 8 pin power insert, so I am just trying to get one card working.

I downloaded the AMD driver install, and it did find this new GPU. After installing the driver and restarting, my PC recognizes it, but says "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" The GPU has a white light near the power port, but the main light slowly blinks red, and the fans don't spin.

For 1-2 seconds on start up, the GPU has white lights and the fan spins, then it stops spinning and goes red.

I tried looking for help online, but the recommendation was to update drivers, and I know the drivers I have are the most updated.

I'd appreciate some help

Thanks,
Andy

Purchased on ebay so if that is the case I can return it.

Is there a method of getting a concrete determination?

Both cards act exactly the same way. Making me think it is an issue on my end.

What exact psu do you have?
Try DDU to remove the driver and then reinstall.

Just a thought as your previous gpu’s are old. Is your motherboard BIOS up to date?

Not sure what else you can try. If your old cards work ok and because the 570 was a common mining gpu I’m always sceptical. Could of had a dodgy mining BIOS flashed to them.

My PSU is a 575W THERMALTAKE TOUGHPOWER XT.

Current BIOS is American Megatrends INC V2.12, 9/29/2013.

Can i modify the GPU's bios im there current state? (CODE 43).
Thanks for the help.

I just used DDU to uninstall drivers followed by a restart. I then reinstalled the same drivers with AMD's software, and I am still getting the code 43.

What indication does the red light on the 570 mean? (Vs white)
