Hey Everyone,

I am not having a fun time switching over to this Radeon R9 380. I have the 4 gig model and the number is R9-380P-4255.

I had a hell of a time just getting through the installation and had to re-install several times. I tried installing via the included CD and even by direct download from AMD. I reinstalled so many times that I am not sure which method worked. The catalyst control center says I am using version 2015.0804.21.41908

The Main problems that I am currently experiencing are that The resolution does not look sharp. colors seem off, and text is hard to read even at 1080P. I can only get 1080P when I use an hdmi cable. If I use a DVI cable then 1080 is not an option even though I have two identical monitors. Fallout 4 which worked on my previous card is now crashing when I attempt to load into the game.

Pictures on my 2009 budget windows 7 laptop look better than on my computer now.

Thank you guys in advance for trying to help

Below are some of my system specs.

Yeah from the start It has not worked well I can't get 1080 to work and nothing really looks sharp or true to color. My previous card was nvidia and when I plugged it in it worked fine. I have since deleted those nvidia drivers.

I swap AMD cards and Nvidia cards on the same rigs quite a bit and having different sets of drivers on the system makes no difference.

How much of the driver "package" are you trying to install and have you thoroughly wiped any previous AMD driver install and or attempt at a driver install?

I erased all AMD drivers "all versions" and also erased the previous nvidia drivers. I did this by using the "uninstall a program" in control panel. I also went into the hard drive afterward and erased the folders associated with those old drivers.

Registry entries? What about those?
