Hey.
I have two DDR3 kits, I would like to test, but I am not sure if they are damaged, or potentially could damage the "new" motherboard. .......
My very old system, dropped dead out of the sky ....... I removed the two DDR3 sticks, marked them A and B, and put in a single replacement stick, and it ran perfectly for 6 months ........ until it crashed. tried again with another single stick, but this time, the dear old thing did'nt wake up........ I'm thinking the ram sockets got fried and / or the ram is damaged.
My question is, is there a risk of damaging the ram sockets on the "new" motherboard, by trying to use the two above mentioned, DDR3 kits.
Thanks in advance.
