Hey guys i have my 4070 6 months now.
I ordered 2 different 4070 from 2 different manufacturers to see if they behave the same way.
And with both cards, I got this strange checkboard pattern up for 1-2 seconds randomly. Its mostly when im browsing with chrome. But i also encountered it in games.
So I read somewhere it was an NVIDIA or Windows issue, and they would fix it somehow.
But the issue just doesnt go away. What should I do? Should I RMA? I mean if it was the card, the issues wouldnt be on 2 different GPUs from 2 different manufacturers right?
Im not sure what I can do now?

basically same as this just in black: View: https://imgur.com/gou5tKT

My system:

i7 14700k
Rtx 4070
win 11 home
32 gb ram

What PSU do you have?

If you've not tried this yet it's the first thing I'd suggest: download the latest video drivers, use DDU to completely remove the existing drivers and then reinstall them.
I have the corsair rm1000x 80 plus gold
. Already reinstalled all the drivers , didn't help unfortunately

You could also test with the nvidia studio drivers. From what i know is there no performance impact.
Also make sure your motherboard bios is up to date.
Ok I try the studio drivers . Motherboard is up to date. So do you think it could be a gpu issue? Because if , then I don't want to wait too long for rma

Be a gpu issue? Might well be looking at that picture but as you said both gpu's had this problem so that would be very bad luck. Maybe both have vram issues.

You tested every silly other thing like monitor cables hdmi/displayport as well? GPU power cable is well in? both sides

Maybe dabble (toggle on/off) with settings like hardware acceleration .... both in Chrome (start with this one) and maybe as well as in windows.

one thing you could do is, i guess you still have both 4070's, that you rma one of them and see what comes of it. If you get another one test with that new one again.
