Issues with triple monitor setup

I have a IBuyPower PC with a Gigabyte GA-Z77-HD3 motherboard and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti - 2GB - EVGA Superclocked - Core: 1071MHz video card which has 2 dvi ports which are working fine with 2 monitors. I just bought a 3rd monitor with a HDMI cable but unfortunately the HDMI port on the graphics card is in the corner and the cable is touching both the PC and dvi cable from other monitor so i cannot insert it. I then inserted both HDMI cable and DVI cable directly into the motherboard and nothing is happening but i assume its expected behavior as it needs to be plugged in to the graphics card?

Should I get a new card which is bigger and has enough space between ports?

all cards have more or less the same space, they have to fit the PCI Express outlets on the case

the mb ports won't work because those only work for the onboard graphics which is disabled since you have a discrete gpu.

and yes, i don't think a 650ti is a good enough gpu to really run 3 monitors anyway. Get yourself something like a 7950 or any other gpu in that performance range or better with 3gb of vram or more... those should be able to drive 3 hd monitors

both models of superclocked 650 ti boost editions are laid out the same for display out, from left to right you have a full size display port, hdmi, and the dvi ports from top to bottom are dvi single link and dvi dual link. in reference to a corner port i assume you are referring to the display port , since you were previously using both dvi ports?

This is 650 Ti only, not the BOOST version.

Is there any card around $200 that can handle 3 monitors? i wont be gaming much if any.

if you're not gaming then your 650ti will do fine. i thought you were gaming on 3 monitors.

there are only 2 versions of a 'superclocked' 650 ti produced by evga and they are BOTH boost editions. unless the provided information is incorrect. please make sure your not inserting an hdmi cable into the display port. as far as a triple monitor, the above post is true. 3gb of vram is a necessity for 3 monitors.

if you can stretch your budget to 230.00 this card will be more apt to fit the bill and offers the best performance of its class at that price point. its based on the same architecture that goes into AMD's high end cards. You will have to invest an initial 250.00 and wait for a rebate so if your budget is strictly 200.00...

this card comes in at an even 200.00 and is the baby brother to the above but is based on the pitcairn architecture. its the only 7870 ghz edition available under 200.00 and should perform great at your price.

the first one has eyefinity support which depending on your resolution might run your 3 monitors at the cost of power and heat. It also requires a minimum 500 watt power supply so keep that in mind before you purchase. the smaller also boasts support for up to 6 monitors but im certain wont perform as well. either way you would be much closer to your goal but barely. if given the choice id hold the 3rd monitor until your funds afford you a card with 3gb gddr5 vram and you would be much happier with your gaming. good luck

Thanks for the advice but i am a bit biased towards NVIDIA so decided to go with a Gigabyte GTX 660, it costed me about 189.00 after rebate. The ports are spaced out so had no problems with the 3 monitor setup.
