Issues with VTX 6870X2

I recently picked up a 6870X2 (the dual gpu version of the 6870, seems pretty rare), and it isn't working as it should. When I'm playing games, only one of the two GPUS registers activity, the other just sits around 2-3%. I've read that you need to enable crossfire in the control center, but Ive searched around many times for it and can't find the option. The previous drivers I had were cleanly wiped and the current drivers are the most recent version available. Any ideas?

How old do you recommend? The VTX website I can't find, and the powercolour (who also made a 6870X2) doesn't really say which ones to get...

anything just not the latest one. also have you tried doing clean driver installation?

Re-installing older drivers caused BSOD at first, but once I'd got that all sorted out it worked with catalyst version ~12
