He gave you the American Amazon website, I don't think he realized you were in Europe. It's $835 here with $30 shipping. Computer prices are cheaper here, many tourists buy computers and take them home. I have many coworkers come from our European office and go home with laptops, cameras and other electronics.

3050ti is not what I would call 1080p medium. Maybe 1080p Medium-low settings at 60fps. For modern games it will struggle. Minimum I would go is 3060.

If you can stretch your budget a little more, you can save a few dollars by buying a PC without a Windows license, like this one: https://www.amazon.de/-/en/T7-V20-5-2-1920X1080-Display-Notebook/dp/B0B3NGVP8B which has FreeDOS installed. You can buy a windows license for $10 on Toms Hardware affiliate links. You'll just need another windows computer to create a windows boot USB stick to install windows, then just type in the license key you purchased.

If you don't need it to be portable, stick with a desktop. For $1000, you can build a much nicer desktop which is upgradeable in the future. Video card prices have also been dropping, you can get something better than a 3060 these days.

Also, since laptop CPU's and GPU's run at a much lower wattage, the performance level is typically not the same as a desktop. They typically run 20-30% slower than their desktop counterpart with the same name.
