Greetings my friends! I am so confused at the moment, and i ll try to explain you the situation as good as possible , so here it goes: before a year i built my pc rig, back then i chose as my system mobo the msi 970-g43.Now after about a year a friend of mine replaced his motherboard, the msi 990 fxa-gda 65 with a new one. So he gave me the 990 fxa motherboard. However it seems to have a specific issue, each time he would shut down his pc and restart it he would need to reset the cmos in order to boot the system, everything but that, was working properly. So the question is should i replace my current mobo for my friend's one or it isnt that much of a difference at all?
My pc specs are:
Fx-6300
Msi R9-270x Hawk edition
2 memory modules crucial ballistic x 2x4 gigs 1866 mhz
500 watt psu
So tell me what do you think how would you act in this case?
The reset cmos problem can be fixxed?

Solution
If the 990 FXA board has issues other than a dead/weak CMOS battery causing those problems, stay clear. The only real benefit would be better OC'ing capability.
