ok so i have a problem unfortunately not being able to afford an ac atm to cool down ambient temps which thats a big one because of the small confined space i have my computer setup in -a large closet lol- the case is hot to the touch not to hot i cant touch it but hot enough that i would rather it not be - my cpu is an i5 4670k runs at 40C at idle and 70c on load my video card a r9 280x runs at 50c idle and around 75 80c on load- i even have liquid cooling for the cpu one for those all in one units a h80i my question is - is that normal temperature for the case and computer pieces ? and if not could any one make a suggestion

If you stick your PC in a closed closet, it doesn't matter whether you use liquid cooling or not - eventually it will overheat. It needs airflow and a closet doesn't give it airflow. My Intel i5 runs at about 28-32C load or no load. My video card never runs hotter than about 62C.

At no time does my case feel hot.

my pc-case is also in a closet (but with the doors opened). CPU idles at 50°C and my GPU at 66°C (it's an "old" xfx6870 and the bearing in the fan makes crude noises) under load the GPU is at about 90°C. i'm just waiting for it to catch on fire one day, so i can buy myself a new GPU. But my rule of thumb is never over 90°C on parts.

very true but its not a closed closet the door is off guess i should have mentioned that and during the winter i was getting readings like that no problem - so i guess ill have to save up for an air conditioner after all :\
