It safe to overclock a sapphire r9 280x toxic?

i've been thinking about further overclocking my card a bit, which is already overclocked quite a lot. i've download sapphire trixx to do so. what kind of levels would be safe to oc at? i cant find any video guides for overclocking this card, nor any other discussions about it.

When you have download your over clocking software, such as MSI afterburner, slide the Core clock slider all the way to the right. Boom. done.

my setup is;

i5 4670k
corsair h100i
msi mpower max
xfx 850w black edition
sapphire r9 280x toxic

so i have a good cooler and psu, but not sure what would be pushing it too far.

which is better out of msi afterburner or sapphire trixx?

An over clock without changing the voltage is fine, so slide all the way

for some reason, when i over clocked my card like you said, when i open diablo 3 it just goes to a black screen and i can't do anything. can't minimize, do ctrl alt delete or anything and i just have to turn the pc off.

My HD 7770 didn't do that when I OC-ed to the max. I guess you'll have to lower the clock speeds. I'm sorry. But I don't think you spoiled anything though.

well it works fine now i reset it back to the stock speeds.
