Hello all,

What is the main difference between a course in IT and Computing?
Is ICT a combination of both these fields? How about CS (Computer Science)?
What course should you take if you want to become a Web developer?

Thanks,

Information technology (IT) or information and communication technology (ICT) is the technology required for information processing. In particular the use of electronic computers like cellphone and computer software to convert, store, protect, process, transmit, and retrieve information from anywhere, anytime.

Computer Science is a subject in general dealing with computer hardware software. IT is a derived subject which is mainly involved in the management of information using computers.
Both computer science engineers and It engineers develop hardware and software. But the work done by IT engineers are mainly for the management of information.

My advice is ICT. But you can learn web developing at home with a computer with or without the internet.

Computer Science can also be programming/computer architecture etc.etc., if it's a course you are looking into, then get the course material from the college/uni. That's the only way to really know what you're getting yourself into, what you'll get out of it and what you want to get out of it.
