controller on the 7n400 Pro ?

gigabyte doesnt have the driver that works with 2003 ... the mfg site does.

I wish Gigabyte would update the motherboard bios with the latest
ITE bios. I had a crash and had to redo my system using the gigabyte bios
and driver am now using a hacked bios with the latest ITE drivers and the
system has been fine for a few months. There have numerous posts in the
newsgroups complaining about the ITE raid performance and reliability.
The later bios and drivers from ITE address both issues.
I am using an 8 KNXP REV1 with XP Pro.

No Pester Gigabyte to do it, like I did, I now have the latest 1.7 ITE Bios

You can not use these, they are for Separate Cards..

I have emailled them twice over this issue and they reply due to stability
etc we wont update the bios
as far as I am concerned due to Gigabytes pathetic attitude to its customers
they wont see any more
of my money.
The irony is they have just released a beta bios for the 8 knxp Rev1 and
could have
updated the gigaraid at the same time.
You are the second person I know of that has the new gigaraid bios.

I nagged them 3-4 times and stated that is was very Bad PR not to, plus if
they would not support there users, I would not be buying a Gigabyte stuff
again.

Yes they gave me the same Bull they gave you..


I also quoted the FAQ from ITE to them.

The Only mobo maker I have has good support is Abit, I told them that.,

Did that fix the issue with the firmware ... where it says "firware not
ready", or some dumbass thing when it tries to find the drives on the
controller?
