I bought a prebuilt PC. It has only 2 ram slots with only 1 being used by an 8gb 2666mhz stick, so i thought I can put another 8gb in the empty slot but 3200mhz.
Now my monitor screen says "HDMI input not found" and just goes to sleep. Both ram sticks are the same type but different speeds -- 2666mhz & 3200mhz.

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Swap in another known working video cable. Ensure that the cable connection is fully in place. Both ends....

Also (just happened to a family member) double check the monitor cable connection. Ensure that the monitor is connected to the correct video port.

Failing the above:

The key document is the motherboard's User Guide/Manual.

The document should provide a listing of supported RAM and supported RAM configurations.

Most motherboards require identical RAM modules that are purchased as a matched set for dual channel use.

Plus some motherboards require that the first physically installed RAM module be placed in a specific RAM slot.

Go to the motherboard manufacturer's website and locate the User Guide/Manual. Check the RAM specs. And also check for updates within the website.
