Its that time of year again and I am back looking for a good motherboard for my sons PC. So it looks like the....

ASUS ROG Crosshair V Formula-Z AM3+ AMD 990FX + SB950 8 x SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Gaming Motherboard with 3-Way SLI/CrossFireX Support and UEFI BIOS

....is still the best option for his 8350. I want to overclock. But I would like to know if anybody knows if the board has plenty room between socket and memory as his Noctua NH-U9B CPU cooler fan retainers obstruct the board he has. And also to confirm the board is the standard usual size.
