It's true P8H61MLX can't used PSU 700watt

Hi guys, i need help and detail info,,,

last weeks i just buy new computer gaming, but have low PSU (its only 450watt)..
so i order new power supply 700watt from online store

and this brand of my new PSU its Silver Power SP-B700

yesterday i bring my CPU and my new PSU Silver Power SP-B700 to IT store near from my home to help change my original psu from my old case, to new PSU Silver Power SP-B700.. (beside i dont understand about hardware, so i need help some pro to change psu to my case)

and this noon i just got phone from IT store, they said my new power supply(PSU Silver Power SP-B700) can not be used on my cpu..!!

and they said i wrong order/wrong buy/wrong series,,blabla i dont understand what he talking about different port,cable,etc..


can anyone explain my problem here, im so frustration about this,,coz before i order PSU Silver Power SP-B700, they said can be used for any kind computer..

this my computer specs:

I looked and the SeaSonic is fine to use with your MOBO (4-pin) and CPU.

My best guess is the place you brought it to hasn't figured-out that the (8-pin) CPU power is a breakaway 4+4 pin. It's no different than the 20+4-pin (24-pin) main power.

what i must to do, do i need explain about cpu power and power connector is a breakaway pin? or i bring back to my home and assemble themselves..

can u teach me or link how to connector power supply to mainboard, video card, hardisk, and dvdroom..

My feeling is at some point it's good to learn for yourself and it's not that complex. Simply connect the following to the listed devices and try to have some organization running the wires, and to aide with organization use some zip ties after everything is in working order to clean up loose and air restricting cabling; much of the organization depends on your case.

CPU (note the 4+4-pin breakaway/either works):

DVD, HDD and SSD:

HD 6870 (note the 6+2-pin breakaway/use (2) of the 6-pins; most HD 6870 are 2 x 6-pin PCIe):

Yep those are correct and as you described. Just don't use a PCIe power for the CPU power.
