Hello, I'm planning on building a file server/game server hybrid. The game I would like to host is a Minecraft server, and I would like to know what I can upgrade/change about what parts I chose. My budget cap is at 350 USD. Also, I have a Windows 7 Pro system image, and was also wondering If I could use that as the OS for the computer, but if not I can always use Linux.

Here's the parts:

Motherboard: Intel BLK 10-PAK MINI-ITX DG41AN ICH7CPNT DDR3-1333 GMAX4500 MOTHERBOARD

Processor: Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200 Processor, 2.5 GHz, 2M L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB, LGA775

RAM: PNY Optima 4 GB PC3-10666 1333 MHz DDR3 Desktop DIMM Memory MD4096SD3-1333
Link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004D7NAOO/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

HDD: 120GB 2.5" SATA Hard Drive Western Digital
Link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004PJPMBO/ref=ox_sc_act_title_5?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2TWRNEH2276JE

Case: Antec ISK 300-150 Black Mini-ITX Desktop Computer Case 150 Watt Power Supply
Link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0035FIS2O/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

As for my internet connection, on wireless (Which is what I plan on using) I generally get about 20-35Mbps down, 10-25Mbps up, but on Ethernet it is about 50-75Mbps down, 25-35 up. Anything can be changed in this build if necessary, but please be cautious of the budget!

the newer cpu going to be faster and use less power in a small itx case.

Thanks for the reply, but lets say I was to host a Minecraft server on this. How many players do you think I would be able to hold on it with no/little lag?

That build is fine, though a quad core would be better for minecraft, add a 2 GB RAM stick for a total of 6 GBs RAM and a 500 GB storage hdd to that and you should be set, and FreeNAS or even a Debian Linux based NAS OS that I use - OpenMediaVault - would be fine for the OS, but windows 7 would also do fine.
