I've gone through 3 graphics cards and need help!

I have been wanting to upgrade my graphics card for a long time, as my current one is a geforce gr 740 sc and can't run many current games. I've tried 3 different cards in the past 2 weeks and they all get a check display port prompt on my monitor. I've bought and returned a GeForce 1030 sc, and an amd rx 560. My current one that isn't working is an msi GeForce gt 1030. My monitor is a Hannspree HF199H. I have no idea what the problem is, if someone could help, I would be extremely grateful! This has been one of he most frustrating experiences of my entire life.

Does your monitor work with other pcs or using HDMI?

What kind of cable are you using to hook it up? This latest generation of cards dropped support for analog VGA connections, so you'll want to make sure you're using an HDMI cable, not something like a passive VGA adapter. That monitor appears to support both VGA and HDMI.

I've been using hdmi, and that didn't work so I tried a hdmi to dvi converter and still no luck.

Gigabyte ga f2a78m hd2 motherboard,
2 sticks of g skill 8 gb ram,
Evga 600b power supply,
Wd blue 1 to hardrive,
Amd athlon x4 860k processor,
And I have been using the gt 740 sc for over a year, and tried the listed cards with no success at all.
