Ive got a question.

I am looking at new monitors for a pc I am going to be building. Would it be better to go 1440p 144hz 24in. Or 1080p 144hz with G-sync?

for 1440p like 13th monkey i think 24 is too small-- i would suggest a 27 inch monitor

and a gtx970 or equivalent or higher for 1440p

if you list your specs it would help

Well I would have thought if I was talking about 144hz it would be obvious I could power that lol. But yea either a 1080 or 1070 sli.

no it wouldnt people do it all the time on here so cant assume what hardware people have/will get

but anyway for 1080 or 1070 sli you wont have much problem

so same answer as before i think 24 inch is too small for 1440p

So I should get the Gsync panel regardless? Even if the 1440p offers superior ppi? Wouldn't it cancel out the need for AA though?

only my opinion i have a 27 inch 1440p when i went and looked at monitors 27 inch appeared to my eyes to be the perfect size for 1440p

others may think 24 is ok depending on their eyesight

i would suggest going to a shop where you can actually see the monitors powered on if thats possible where you are

Not really possible. But I have near perfect vision with absolutely no need for glasses etc. Would that affect anything? Would Gsync be worth it over the ppi?

my choice--and i wear varifocals so may make a difference--i went for 27inch with the higher resolution over a 24 inch with g-sync

hopefully some one else will give you an opinion thats just what suited me personally others may prefer some thing different

24" might be a bit small for 1440p

27" is the bare minimum size that I would recommend for 1440. You will end up with a really "crappy" if you have a screen too small for your resolution. (Yes I realize it sounds dumb) Certain screen sizes will support different resolutions better. And, certain game support different resolutions better. If you get the 1440 a lot of games/programs will use the black bars to basically bring it down. Also G-sync is pretty great.
