Discussion I've heard that windows bloat can impact performance in games. I know it depends on the game, but how much would it affect performance on average?

I am also wondering what the easiest way to debloat windows is. I don't want to have to reinstall windows as I have just over 1TB of installed games and my internet is painfully slow.
Specs:
ryzen 7 7700x
32GB DDR5
RX 6800
Seasonic Focus GX 850W 80+ Gold
samsung 980 pro 2TB
asus b650 tuf wifi

"I've heard..." is often complete junk.

There are multiple sites and utube vids that claim to make your experience "better", by removing parts of a Windows install.
Sometimes, even to the point of breaking it.

A LOT of the problems people see are due to self induced software junk. Too much stuff running, or malware.

Are you currently seeing any issues?
Is your systems performance acceptable?

I'm not currently seeing any issues, but I would like an easier way to remove programs (lots of them) that I no longer use like Armoury crate and ICUE. Mainly, I would like to get rid of said software junk, so that I can as few background tasks running as possible.

Also, I'm the type of person that hates the idea of leaving any performance on the table, and I just feel like I could get a bit more performance by removing unnecessary background software.

So simply Uninstall them individually.

The typical "debloat" script will also remove things you do want.

And by the time you read and understood what the debloat scripts are doing before telling to Go, it would have been much easier and faster to just uninstall the things yourself.

Don't fix what ain't broken.

Another question, does windows telemetry affect performance at all, is it a good idea to disable it if possible?

Honestly, I don't know, I've always been hesitant to look at those settings, so I never really have. I just know that I would like to have as little data being sent to Microsoft as possible.
There is not nearly the amount of "data" sent to MS that people think.
And what there might be, is anonymized.

I'd be much more worried about your browsers and cell phone.

While I appreciate privacy, I just don't think there is a browser that is truly private. I mean I use opera gx, but that's only because I had a bad experience with chrome.
