it not really two years sandy bridge was ivory bridge rev 1.0. the two delays with ivy bridge was trying to get good yields out of the new 22mm fabs. and letting big vendors like dell and hp sell out of there old cpu. it intel next cpu haswell that going to be the hot iteam...

Sandy Bridge was released in January 2011.

Forget Ivy Bridge... I'm waiting on Haswell.
