IWD mage specialist problem

I've played through the BG series and have recently started IWD I. One of
my IWD characters is a Conjurer, and I'm having trouble writing spells into
her book. Specifically, she can't write any Evocation spells (big
trouble!). I thought Conjurers were restricted from learning Divination
spells only, and this seems to be confirmed by my review of the IWD manual.
Am I wrong about this? Is this a bug that I can fix?

You have the Heart of Winter expansion, which changes the barred schools
for specialist wizards. Read that manual instead.
