Hi all,i'm new here. Since i read so many post related to crysis, i know tat crysis need a high requirement in order to run very well. I going to buy a new pc soon, So my question is:

1) Is it my this spec can running well on tis rig? ( Very high setting, resolution on 1920X1080 and 4x Anti Aliasing).
2) If i wan oc the processor, did i need to buy extra cpu cooler?
3) Is it triple core better than dual core to play crysis?

Phenom II X3 720
Asus M4N78 Pro
Corsair 4Gb ram 800 Mhz
Palit GTX275 896MB DDR3
Cooler Master Real Power Pro 550W
23.6" monitor

Wow Mactronix -

Fist on his previous post you attack his language and tell him "Try posting again in a real language". And then when he tries to take your suggestion and posts again, you attack him for that.

No consideration for someone who it appears is either very young or for whom English is a second language? Do you speak any foreign languages this fluently?

And please excuse my double post - but I wanted to post in both threads in which you criticize someone seeking help.

1) Crysis DX10 Very High @ 1080P 4xAA....not a chance. You will need WAY more GPU power for that. But, to add more GPU power, you'll then want a beefier PSU (that one is rated at 30A 12V). For that system there as is, 1080P High settings no AA would be a more realistic expectation in Crysis.

2) The CPU is fine, just OC it. If you plan to bump CPU voltage and hit a high OC, yes you'll need better cooling.

3) Yes, Crysis does take advantage of the third core. Of course a very high clocked dual core could still beat a lower clocked triple core.

At first i apologize about my poor language and grammar mistakes, because i'm an Malaysian, so my english is not so good as you guys. Hope you guys can forgive me on this. thx..

!) If i off the anti aliasing, my graphic will become not so nice? Because my dream computer is can run everything with VERY HIGH SETTING on the crysis. That why before i buy the computer i want to get the exact answer from you guy.

My current pc spec as below:

AMD Athlon X2 5000 oc until 3.1 Ghz
Msi K9n Neo V3 (ms 7369)
Kingston 3Gb ram 5300 *which oc until 400 mhz*
Geforce 9800GT 1GB
Cooler Master Extreme Power 460W
23.6" monitor

2) I wonder why my clock speed maximum only can oc from 2.6 to 3.1 Ghz? If i oc furthermore it will say overclocking fail or bluescreen. Is it my motherboard limit it?

3) Currently i only can play Crysis with Medium setting, even sometime with many AI will feel lagging. My friend told me that is my processor bottleneck my graphic card, is it the true?

4) My dream pc is only for gaming, so do i buy the dual core? triple core? or quad core for my new pc in order to run every game on very smooth condition without any lagging.

#2. I dont know much about overclocking but you didnt list a aftermarket heatsink so you could be overheating

#3. Crysis is terrible on your hardware. have you tried crysis warhead? they fixed their engine for warhead wich makes the game run very smooth without all the bugs. Crysis regular was a terrible game and so wasnt crysis warhead but atlease warhead had a bunch more action.

The only reason to play crysis is to look at the sexy graphics. the game play is garbage and very short. im sre ill get flamed for this haha just my opinion

#4. if your asking for computer advice/build help make a thread in the "New system builds" area and people will be glad to help you. I personaly would go with a Quad core for future proof since crysis does use the third core

i dont think with the AAx4

if i was you id go with a Phenom II X4 QuadCore 955 3.2 and use a Cooler oc it to 4ghz
with 2x HD4890 in crossfire (OC THEM) with 850w psu grab 4 -8 gig DDR3-1333 ram and then just max the *** out of crysis

Bro viper200, it is over my budget already. The rig u mention is selling very expensive in Malaysia. Need to take sometime to wait the price going down :)

I just install Crysis Warhead in my computer. I found out it also only can run Medium Setting on the game, if i go any higher, it will starting to lagging. The reason i buy gaming computer is because i like the Crysis graphic very much, it is so realistic.

So, anyone can give me any recommendation to run pretty well for Crysis or Crysis Warhead? (for sure don't too high end, because in Malaysia the computer stuff still very expensive compare to u guy's country :) )

Garykam, you only get what you pay for. If you pay for a medium pc you get medium performance. You cant expect paying a little and getting a lot.

There are websites that offer worldwide shipping if you are interested.

That rig could play crysis on very high on 1680x1050 (imo still rather good)

Also warhead did very little good for me ,fps wise that is. Just fully patch crysis and your set to go

my bad i didnt see this right here. no reason why this pc you have above cant run crysis very high. just an idea have you looked at the 4890? in some cases the 4890 out performed the 275 and its cheaper then the 275.

I would recommend a fast quad core. 4gigs ram, sli gtx260 or gtx295 would let you run the game at 1920x1080 with 4aa. (maybe a bit overclock would be needed)
Im not a nvidia fanboy only recommending those cards because crysis just runs better on nvidia hardware.
