Question Jabra earbuds not pairing to Yamaha TSR-7580?

I would like to know how to pair my Jabra Elite 7 Active earbuds with my Yamaha TSR-7580? I have done my research, but to no avail. Basically, I pressed Bluetooth on the AVR's remote, set all BT functions of the AVR showing on the TV screen to ON, enabled pairing with earbuds by pressing the right bud's button (not in charging case) sequentially until flashing blue light came on, but the TV's screen that was showing the clef mark in the middle and the bluetooth symbol, never listed available devices (earbuds). I figure I must be doing something wrong??? Thanks.

technically it should connect, but that bluetooth is just SBC codec, which is good enough for music, but not good enough for movies, as you will get lip sync issue due to high latency with SBC (170~270ms latency)

Your reply was very helpful; both practically and psychologically.
I eventually was able to connect the earbuds to the Yammy. And, you are most definitely right (unfortunately) about problems with lipsync as it certainly is there. So, of course, before I read your post, I was out on the net asking how to improve the lipsync. And, without your input, I'd still be searching a "dead horse" issue as I think I now know that the lipsync disparity really can't be fixed? Or, can it?
