Hi there. I'm facing common problem with jagged edges in games even with maxed out settings at 1080p. Some days ago I installed GTA V and was very surprised (in bad way) when i saw how the game look. Even with 4xMSAA (and other settings on Very High/Ultra) I cant see jaggies only if I'm staying really close to the object. I will upload some screens later so you can see the problem by your self.

Here is my rig:

Intel i5 3470 @ 3.2 Ghz
GIGABYTE GTX 770 2GB
Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3V
Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB 1600Mhz
Corsair CX600 80+ Bronze PSU
Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB HDD
Samsung 840 EVO 120GB SSD
BenQ XL2411Z 144Hz monitor connected by the Dual-Link DVI cable. (1920x1080 res @ 120HZ in game and on the desktop)

Windows installed on my SSD drive and the game it self installed on the HDD.

What I have already tried list:
Clean install of Windows 7 64 Bit Ultimate
Clean install of latest Nvidia driver (GTA V ready driver)
Tried defaults of NV Cpanel
Tried changed settings of NV Cpanel
DirectX update check
Different monitor connections (VGA, HDMI)
Connected my PC to my Plasma TV (720p)
Tried to run the game on integrated Intel HD graphics (game failed to start)
Reset monitor settings to default
Different power cable for monitor

= no result!

What I'am planning to try:
Different monitor (60Hz 27" BenQ with DVI connection)
Different videocard (If my friend would give it to me) - GTX 750 Ti
Different PSU (Aerocool Strike-X 500W 80+ Bronze)

I would like to ask for any suggestions to try. Maybe someone facing the same problem.
I've already searched a lot about it and I red a lot of posts about this problem where people were using 144Hz monitor. Maybe this is the case?!

Waiting for your replies,
Nick

It's because 4xMSAA isn't really enough to remove all edges if you are that "sensitive" to jagged edges. 8xMSAA will lessen the situation, but you need supersampling if you want to be almost free of jagged lines, but the GTX 970 can't handle that kind of AA. Because Nvidia has now locked the vram usage to 3.5GB. I have tested this myself, my card never goes above 3,5GB vram usage, regardless of the game and graphics settings.

I tried 8xMSAA too and it doesnt remove jagging compeletely tho and it's a killer for my 2GB GTX 770 :(

Well, You are also running an 1080p monitor. If you want a completely jagging free experience, you need to invest in a 4k monitor. 1080p is isn't a high enough resolution, because the pixel count is too low.

Well, I don't think that is the case. I'll do some research on another pc with another 1080p display and see.

I have this exact same problem except it's not only in games it is everywhere, even on the Windows text on folders and such. I have tried re-installing Windows 8.1 3 times and now i installed Windows 7 but it still doesn't work. I got this problem on both my monitors for some reason because it looked perfect with no jaggies at all on my second monitor before (1600x900). Hopefully you have solved this problem because i'm going to browse the web a bit before going to a PC repair shop.
