Hello! I just built my first PC so here are some quick specs:
-AMD 3.3ghz 6-core processor
-ASUS gtx 650 ti (1 gb) - lastest drivers installed.
-1 stick corsair 8gb ddr3 ram
-Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit.
Anyways, I started having this problem recently, after I packed up my computer and traveled cross-state. Every game I run always has very jagged graphics. I would show skyrim screenshots, but when I looked them over, they showed perfect graphics! Before I traveled, I was using a 720p sharp mini tv/monitor via hdmi, although I don't remember the resolution. During this time I was able to play bioshock 2 via CD and Limbo via steam without any graphical difficulties.. Now, after the travel, every game i try has very jagged graphics. i'm using a sony 1080p tv via hdmi using the 1080p 1920 x 1080 (native) resolution. To describe what it looks like, text especially when small, can be very hard to read, and farther away models become hard to distinguish. 'Jagged' can be the best word to describe it. I'm using anti aliasing on most of the games I've tried.
Here are some additional strange details:
-Only games have this trouble, including simple ones such as Limbo. Browsers are unaffected.
-I was able to play Age of Empires 3 in windowed mode without the jagged graphics.
-The last time I opened Half-life 2, the jagged graphics were gone. (HL2 was normally one of the worst cases)
-Bioshock 2 now only runs in a square resolution, regardless of the resolution you set, which was previously not the case.
-All of the games run just fine (smooth frame rates) even on high graphics, with the exception of the jagged graphics.
Any help in Figuring out how to solve this would be greatly appreciated.
