Jedi Academy: customizing controls...

Why is it that, whenever I restart the game, it always returns to the
"default" set of controls???

I want to make the game remember that, for instance, I want certain keys
to do certain things, certain force powers *which are by default not
bound to any key at all* to be bound to certain specific keys, and to
use the space bar rather than the enter key to jump (and also to
remember that I want a *different* key to mean "jump", not the space
bar.)

But there appears to be no way to save a profile of one's personalised
controls. I have to make each and every change individually, whenever I
start up the game.

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG??? The original Jedi Knight game - and Mysteries
of the Sith - allowed one to make one's own customised controls, why has
Jedi Academy taken such a MASSIVE step backwards?

Jonathan.

Hmmm ... don't understand - unless you have some directory association
problems. I have tons of customized controls - in fact, WASD is about all
that is standard for me. I *never* have to remap. I think it is in the
'ini' file or something ... maybe it is corrupt?

If ur using Win XP or Win 2000, make sure your account has 'write' and
'modify' permissions to the directory you installed JA to.
