Many moons ago I purchased The Journeyman Trilogy from Amazon. I didn't
begin playing it for months. When I finally got around to playing BIT,
I discovered the problem with disk 2. Disk 2 in this trilogy was a
duplicate of Disk 3, so in effect Disk 2 is missing. I have searched
but cannot find a FREE source for this disk. I do see the individually
packaged JM2:BIT for sale on eBay from time to time, but I'm cheap!
Does anyone know of a ftp site or other source where I could get just
disk 2 image? Do a Google search on BIT_MPC_2 to see this problem
documented.

Thanks,
CrazyRay

Before you decide that disc 2 really is a second copy of disc 3, check
the actual files on the disc. While the BIT_DISC is wrong, the other
files might correct. If that is the case, you can use a CD emulator such
as Alcohol-120% to make an exact copy of the faulty disk. Then rename
the file to BIT_DISC.2 and also change its contents. The file is just a
simple text file and should read:
Buried in Time - Disc 2

If you get lucky, the above will work. If not contact Presto Studios.

I was in the same situation. Disk 2 was a copy of disk 3. Presto sent
me a new disk 2. I don't know if they are still operating.

I checked the files and size and my disk 2 is a mislabeled disk 3. I
checked the website at http://presto.tommyyune.com/presto/ and it even
acknowledges that some of the Journeyman Trilogy sets had this problem.
It doesn't appear that there is any support other than the online FAQs
and other troubleshooting issues. I can't fix my problem with what I
have - I need the files that are supposed to be on disk 2.

Are you in the US? I can send you a copy of disk 2, which Presto would
have done if they were still around.
