Attempting to copy a number of .jpg images to new mac book. Files were moved to a flash drive to be imported into the MAC. The error message is the jpg is not an accepted file format. Looking for guidance on what is an accepted file format and and a conversion app to perform this. Much thanks in advance for support.

Solution
You MacBook shouldn't have any problems opening JPEG files, including layered JPEGs. I'm guessing your files may have an incorrect extension (.jpg) or some kind of corruption. Can you open them on another computer?
