Judge this build for me

This will be the first PC I have ever build. I was wondering if it's capable to get good frame rates on ultra 1080p gaming. On games like skyrim, BF4, DayZ, GTA V

Doesn't look like you are penny pinching, so i5-4690k and the Maximus VII Hero would be a better choice.

Samsung EVO has a known issue that requires a firmware update. Ideally a Samsung 840 or 850 Pro would be a faster choice. Budget choice would be the MX100 from Crucial.

Power supply is oversized and of lesser quality. If you are sticking with the single GPU something like an XFX550W would be better. If you plan on a second GTX970 then an XFX850, EVGA SuperNova 750W, or other high quality supply would be a better choice.

That Noctua cooler is quite large. Your memory choice is questionable, might be too tall to fit underneath the cooler. Also for not much more there is 1866 with a CAS of 9, as well as 2133 with a CAS of 10.
