DPI only matters if you want a super sensitive mouse. They all seem to flaunt their DPI levels upto 6400dpi, but in reality, it seems most people use between 1500-3000 (although it really is personal taste).

If you want a good impression of a mouse, simply Google search for a review of that mouse, they'll tell you all about build quality, what the mouse sensor is like, what it feels like in your hand etc etc.
If you want to buy gaming mouse with low budget . Then choose only wired mouses .
I dont judge mouses by their dpi as there is no mean of very fast dpi to me . I want the cursor to be in my control.
Buy the mouse which seems comfortable to you .

I used my 5 year old mouse for gaming . I got it with my earlier computer . It was a cheap mouse and I didn't had any problem with that . I don't know why people buy gaming mouses .
Currently i am having logitech g400 with price 10 times more than my old mouse . I never shift to very high dpi . And i didn't felt any change in it . It is just like my old mouse with a waste of money.

A mouse can have the best specs in the world but if you don't enjoy using it, then that's that.

Whereas people use cheap mice with terrible "specs" all day and would swear by them. It's all personal preference in the end.
