So after lots of forum hunting and searching in the past few days, what is yalls(yes texas) opinion on this:
$300(used) 1440p 27" IPS(or similar)1440p Monitor

$100-$150(used) 1080p 24" IPS(or similar) 1080p Monitor
1080p Monitor 2

Ideally I would like one extra-wide monitor instead of multiple displays, but I'm not willing to spend that kind of money right now.

If I'm looking to spend $250-$300 max on the monitor situation, I can get a 2(3) monitor setup(price wise) for the same price as 1 1440p.
Price: $200-$300. $300+ if you can sell it to me.
Refresh rate: Preferably better than 60hz, but don't need 144hz. I'm not a professional gamer, although I do play now and then so 144hz is overkill.
Panel Type: IPS/PLS. I do take and edit photographs as a side gig and enjoy doing that well without color issues, so an IPS or PLS with true colors would be something I am looking for.
Screen Size: If it is 1440p 27". If it is 1080p then 24"-27"(convince me to do the 3 monitor setup because it looks so cool and I would love it, but I'm being logical and trying to future proof).

I recently built a case for a PC and am slowly getting parts together to sit back and enjoy it its potential.

*UPDATE*

Which of these would the community recommend:
1440p
LCD 25" Acer
LCD 27" Acer
LCD 27" AOC
LED 27" QNIX

1080p
LED 24" Asus

*UPDATE-2*

I think I will be choosing from either of the two options:
1 27" Asus 1440p IPS 27" 1440p Asus IPS
3 24" Asus 1080p IPS 24" 1080p Asus IPS
The price will be a little above my budget for both, but they are both ASUS(good brand), and each option would be something I would be happy with sitting on my desk. Now the hardest part is deciding on which one to go with for the next couple of years! Feel free to throw in your input, and thanks to everyone that helped out!

What do you believe are the advantages and disadvantages of the ultra-wide? The main thing that got my attention from it was the ability to have multiple windows open, real estate pretty much (Which I can get more with the 27" 2650x1440 monitors, rather than the 2560x1080). Also, what are your thoughts on the lineup that I have presented so far on the 1440p monitors?

The advantages of the ultra-wide are work area/productivity, better acpest ratio for movie watching, and cooler looking gaming. Technically the 2560x1440 and 2560x1080 have the same width in pixels but you will have a significantly wider monitor with the ultra-wide which will make for a better productivity space.

My thought on your list of 1440p monitors is that none of them fit the needs you've provided. If you prefer IPS, which you should if you do more photo editing/production than gaming, than you're going to have to spend more money to get that in 1440p. If you just want a fast gaming panel in TN than I'd get the 27" Acer you listed, but I think you'd be happier with an IPS panel.

@Superninja12: I play GTA V, CS: Go, NBA 2k16, Battlefield 2 & 4, Brawlhalla, etc. Along with that, I'm an amature photographer and do edit photos and like to do that effectively. I'm a college student so I also do a lot of research and multitasking. At the end of the day, I am still an enthusiast for tech haha

@harboym: Thanks for your responses! I will rule out any TN monitors and focus more on IPS/PLS panels in my search and if nothing fits the budget, settle for the 27" Acer.

What about dual or triple screen setups with 1080p monitors? I can get that 5ms 24" IPS Asus for $109 with the deal Newegg has right now, and going $30 over budget, get 3 of them for $330. That would be a lot of real-estate.

Sorry, not trying to make things complicated, just trying to be a well informed buyer and reviewing all options.

This is the monitor I decided to go with. It is factory refurbished so I saved a lot on it, but that means that it doesn't leave the facility till it passes the quality control. It was $308, no shipping in the USA and no taxes. I will post an update after I receive the monitor and use it for a while to inform the internet if it was worth. I don't know about you guys, but I'm excited!
