[SOLVED] Jump start with the PWR SW

hi,

I have the Asus P5K-E motherboard with all components (HDD, RAM, CPU, power supply and the CPU cooling fan) except for the case.
I'm wondering if I can jump start the computer without a case through the PWR SW.

Yes, you just have to short the 2 pins for the PWR switch. Using something like a screwdriver (obviously assuming it has an insulating handle like nearly all of them).

The pins will be similar to the below - just remember these are not the pins on your MB, so you'll need consult your own motherboard manual to know the correct pins.
