I'm not sure what the jumping bug is really. I've not yet installed the
patch onto my new computer, so hwne I play the sims..whenever an
important event happens..like first kiss, woohoo, birth of babies [or a
baby]..all the sims start having seizures until after the event. not
literally, of course, but they bounce around.

is THAT the jumping bug?

The jumping bug was thought to be (and later proven to be) caused by a sim
racking up too many memories.

It prevented the sim from interacting with other sims, as conversations
related to memories caused the sim to "reset" itself by "jumping" out of the
action they were performing.

eg If you had an affected sim try to join in a meal, the sim would
constantly reappear next to the chair, reprompting the sim to eat would end
in the same manner if other sims are at the table talking to each other.

The behaviour you have mentioned sounds like normal sim actions in response
to sim events.

I hope I explained this properly ;o)

I started playing on my other computer after the patch was available,
so I downloaded the patcdh right around the time i got the game...and
this never happened..

I wish i could tape it..anytime something happens.....they have seizure
like actions, it's soo annoying. but with the patch on my other
computer, everything was fine..
