Just a noob problem installing my MSI 970 GTX

Sooooo am just having a stupid question.

I run the XFX 550W PSU and am trying to find my Video card power cables.

The card run an 6+8 pin power setup.

Is is the cables labeled PCI-E wich goes into the GPU? Its a thick cable and it got 2 6pin slots in it each with here 2 pin sort of add on to make it an 8 pin.

Yes, those are 6+2 pins, you can use them for both the 8 and 6 pin connections, just leave the extra 2 pins hanging free on the 6 pin connection.

Thanks. Just one more Q. My MOBO has a 4 pin output for fans but my fans only has 3 pin input. will that work?

Yes, notice there will be a little kind of notch in the connector that fits on the right side of the 4 pin set? Plug there.
