Just a quick question

i replaced my hdd in my laptop with an ssd, and stuck my old hdd in an external enclosure. anyways i only want my os and programs on my ssd, so would it be ok if i left my external always attatched to my laptop through usb so my downloads and document folders would be saved to the external? would leaving it plugged in all the time bad for the external drive itself?

You can leave the external pluged in all the time if you want to it does not affect the drive or the laptop.
