Just a quick refresher/question. 2 DHCP server behind a switch

I just wanted to make sure I have the right idea here before I drop some money. I'm working on a network that has two wireless access points with active DHCP servers. Currently the second is downstream from the first and so it is double NATed. I seem to recall that if I put a switch in-between the first access point and the modem, then move the cable connecting the second wireless router to the switch, I should be able to make them play nice together and be able to have both access point see directly out to the internet.

Am I correct in this or have a missed something.

disable the 2nd dchp sever and let the first handle it all and set the 2nd to be static.

You cannot hook 2 routers to a modem in most cases. The ISP in general only allows you a single IP. You want to plug the second router in as a AP....IE use the lan port. You would then have to disable the DHCP and let the first router give out ip to all the machines on both devices.
