Just a simple question about cpu cooler

Solution
Listen to me closely. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BUY THERMAL PASTE FOR THE CORSAIR ALL IN ONE COOLERS.

There are plenty of videos on youtube of people comparing the thermal paste that comes on the coolers against after market thermal paste...and EVERY time, for some reason, the thermal paste that corsair uses and the way they apply it ALWAYS performs better than after market solutions.

I personally have the H100i GTX Extreme and H110i GTX Extreme both using stock thermal paste and couldn't be happier.
You do, and you'll get it with the cooler, google how to remove old paste safely and then apply the new one vertically in a shape of a rice grain and u're golden, good luck!

I have the H60 and it's a great cooler - what temps are you seeing and what proc?

The H60 has pre-applied thermal paste - I scraped it off and used my own, but you can use what's on there. You do need some sort of thermal compound, regardless of what cooling solution you use - it facilitates transferring heat from the proc to the heat sink.

Yes, you always need thermal paste. The Corsair comes with pre applied thermal paste, so that you don't need it. It is smart to have an extra tube of thermal paste because you need to change the thermal paste once in a while to keep tye temperatures down. I would suggest The arctic silver mx-4, the arctic silver 5, or the Noctua nt-h1.
