Just bought a 5850..

so i just bought an ati 5850 for $75 and im upgrading from a 4850 and i was wondering did i pay a good price and will i see improvements in video recording.

please check my youtube channel out it is hotfudge2100 with my current graphics card i can't record anything but league of legends and it is annoying.

For $75 you got a pretty good deal as far as gaming performance goes. The current equivalent card is the Radeon HD 6870 and it usually sells for about $170. As far as recording goes, I don't think you'll get any major boost. I think recording gameplay footage takes up more CPU power and RAM, and not so much additional graphics horsepower.

as said above, your CPU and hard drive will be a limiting factor when recording, preferably record to a separate hard drive from your games and OS. but its a great price for that card.
