Just built computer doesn't detect ethernet cable

Hi, I've just built a computer with Gigabyte Z170 gaming K3 motherboard (killer lan I believe). When I plug the cable in, no lights will turn on despite using working cable. Do I need to install any drivers (where to find them)? Is there anything else I should do? Thanks.

You need to install drivers, your mobo should have came with a cd. If it didn`t or you can`t use it get the drivers from here: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5720#dl
