Hi guys!
First of all a big thank you to all those who helped me deciding parts and giving me suggestions before I began building. Your help have been tremendously helpful.
So following your advice I built my first PC. I'm actually really surprised that it booted up alright! TBH I thought I broke my motherboard (it was really a struggle to remove it from my last case, and I touched the surface, bent it, and even struck it with the head of my screwdriver...).
However there are several things that still concern me. When I dismounted my motherboard from the old case, I noticed that two tiny wires tied to the case (image 1) got detached from the two tiny round receptor I circled in red in the second image. What are these things, and what is that white panel thing? My new case doesn't seem to have these two little wires. Is that going to be a problem?
second question, I got two little circlet at the end of two wires connected to the PSU Sata cables. What are they? They don't seem to belong anywhere. Can I just tape them onto the metal surface behind that I'm not using for anything?
third question, I haven't found a place to plug in the small "reset" plug and the "HDD LED" plug", both are connected together.
Lastly, since this is my first build, can you please tell me if you spot anything blatantly wrong? Or something that should be improved/corrected?
I only have the default rear fan that came with the case right now (phanteks enthoo pro). Is that enough? Also I still use the default CPU cooler. Before on my prebuilt PC the CPU never went above 62C under load. I have a i7 6700 3.4 GHz so I can't overclock it anyway. However I had a worse GPU (gtx 960) so don't know if the new GPU will put more load on CPU (980Ti).
Thank you so much for your help! Couldn't have gotten here without this forum! XD
