[SOLVED] Just built my first PC it shows 8gb ram instead of 16gb

I recently built a new PC this is my first one and the only PC in my whole family.
here are the specs
Ryzen 7 2700x
Asus Prime x470 motherboard
Corsair H115i cooler
G Skill Trident z 8*2 16gb
4tb harddrive
500gb 860evo samsung ssd
Gigabyte 1080ti

I really never had a system this is all new to me. I'm kinda freaking out right now. I would like to send screenshots and pictures but really dont know how. I would really appreciate if you would help. Thank You.

Check the motherboards manual, the RAM needs to go in certain places if you only have two.

Please explain just what problems are you experiencing.
Are you able to access Bios.? Can Bios detect all 16GB ?
Does the system not Post.?
No output to monitor.?
Have you updated your Bios.?

You can take screen shots in Bios and in Windows however to post these Screenies you need a host server that provides a link to the files. You can use IMGUR bbl or your favorite site.

put the memory in slots A1 and A2 which are the two slots farther from the CPU: the black one and the grey one
