[SOLVED] Just changed my broadband to 350mbps, need a new tp link

Solution
The best devices are many times called av2-2000. The actual standard is av2-1200 but the marketing guys got involved and started calling av2-600 (1000) and av2-1200 (2000).

First any AV2 stuff is going to be much faster than the older av500 (note tplink renamed their av500 device av600 which is not av2-600)

The difference between av2-600 and av2-1200 is that 1200 is using a concept called mimo like wireless does. It attempts to send 2 overlapping signals. It works but does not actually double the speed.

If you get 52mbps on av200 you are doing much better than most people. No way to predict what you will get but what I have seen is when the devices are tested in unrealistic situations...ie in the same room you only...
You might get 350m but it is hard to say that is pretty much on the limit of powerline technology when used in real houses.
If you want faster I would consider moca. You need cable tv wire in both locations. The devices people like are called gocoax on amamzon. They are cheaper than many of the older tech 2.0 devices and you can get actual gigabit speeds on them.

No way to predict what you will get but what I have seen is when the devices are tested in unrealistic situations...ie in the same room you only et about 400mbps from the very best units. In general people get about 150mbps on av2-600 and 250mbps on av2-1200. Results are all over the place though since the details of houses and their wiring have so much impact.
