To give some context to your issue, can you please parse the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
please include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model.

A bad motherboard with swollen capacitors can also be the cause of the issue. If your PSU is of bad quality...that can also cause the capacitors on the board to swell.

There are several 500w Apex units but they're all groupregulated garbage. Replace it anyway.
That's what I heard was the consensus here..I'm going to replace it with 550 to 650w higher quality just for extra headroom....thank you

I know not everybody has the deepest wallet, but do get something decent and don't skimp on it. If you want some advice ask here and give a max budget+place where you buy.
Ok so budget 60$..I know it's limited and it's daunting looking at all the psu's..I'd like at least 550w..my build is i7 7700k 16gb hyperx ram rtx 2060 6gb windforce 1 ssd 1 hdd. Any advice on brand would be appreciated.

Sorry , no that is just not a good psu. Might be usefull in an office pc, but ncertainly not in a gaming pc. The Superflower is hard to beat for $65.
Just checking... I'll just adjust my budget... heard nothing but good about superflower...so spend more less worry I suppose...
