Hi all,

I have just invested in some parts for a budget PC Gaming rig and put everything together by following several YouTube tutorials...

Here is my rig.

Corsair - Builder 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply
AS Rock AB350M-HDV - AM4 Micro ATX motherboard
Cooler master Hyper 212 EVO
120GB Drevo SSD drive
Gigabyte GEFORCE GTX 1060 6gb
AMD Ryzen 5 1500x
Crucial - 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory
DVD Re-writer

I have everything now installed in the case.
Attached to the motherboard are...

CPU and cooler.
Power switches and LEDs
24 pin Motherboard connector
4 pin CPU connector
6pin pci-e connector to gfx card
Data and SATA cables to SSD drive.
USB cables 2.0 and 3.0
chassis fans
CPU fans
RAM stick

I powered the PC on tonight and the power light came on, the cpu and chassis fans started working, sure i heard the DVD drive as well.
However when I plugged the DVI cable to the gfx card DVI port, my HP monitor said 'No Signal'
So i tried plugging this into the motherboard, then a VGA cable to the motherboard but still no signal.

I know both the monitor and cables are fine because I used them today on my old PC.

I have re-seated the GFX card, the RAM and tried the RAM in both slots. I have reconnected the 4pin CPU connector and tried a new pci-e cable to the gfx card but still nothing.

I just cant understand what is going on. These are all new parts to!

Does anyone please have any ideas of what I can try next? I might try my old graphics card but what after that?

I am new to PC building so I HOPE its just something stupid that I have done wrong.

Thanks

Solution
Well, I fixed it...and here's how....

Unplugged the DVI cable from the back of the monitor, plugged it back in, then connected the other end to the gfx card DVI slot again...

Voila....

booted PC, loaded BIOS!
