Greetings and Happy Holidays to All.
I've just dusted off an old Dell PowerEdge 1800 in hopes of using it for a project.
I've pulled the OEM RAID card and have it down to 1 500 gig sata drive.
Here is the problem: When I press F2 to get into setup, it just sits there. It isn't until I pull the drive (and start the system without any drive) that I am able to get to the BIOS.
I dropped the drive into another box and it does work.
It seems as if the system is waiting for the drive to respond and that the drive never does.
Hoping to get some ideas before I scrap it and build something for the project.
