Just finished making a new build and I am having problems. The computer starts for about 2 seconds, no image, then restarts. It then continues to do this until I turn the power off. The PSU is fine, I have it working in another machine to test it. The RAM is brand new, and confirmed compatible with the MB according the the MB manual. Everything is plugged in.

System Specs
Corsair HX1200i PSU
Asus Rampage V Extreme MB
Barracuda 1.5TB HDD
Corsair H110i gtx cpu cooler
GTX 780SC gpu
Corsair vengeance 2400mhz 16gb (4*4gb) RAM
I7 5820K

One other thing. The motherboard has the usual 24 and 8 pin power connectors, but also has an additional 4 pin power connector. Now, the manual seems to say that this is an alternative to the 8 pin CPU power connector, so I did not plug anything into that.

Think that is all. Any help would be appreciated. I am considering returning the motherboard to the vendor and getting a new one if I cannot locate the issue. If the new one doesn't work, I will get the CPU RMA'd. I am hoping I have made a silly error though, which might mean I don't have to go through all that.

EDIT: There are no motherboard error beeps. HDD and GPU also working in another machine.

Ok, did this. Same issue. Only stops boot looping when all RAM are removed. Double checked the model number on the RAM with the model numbers in the MB manual. Memok! boot button also not achieving anything.

I got the Motherboard in a amazon warehouse deal. They claimed only cosmetic packaging damage, but as I have now tested all other components it has to be the MB at fault. So beware of using them, they lie on their listings.

Thank you for your help, I have repackaged the motherboard for a return and full refund. Try again next week.
